Cara Mia (Barn Name: Mia)
July 8, 2011 Update... Mia and Ali have both found a loving and wonderful home, not too far from our Langley facility. Their new "Mom" has given us permission to visit and take pictures as they progress. These are two lucky horses!
Once a proud and beautiful Saddlebred, Mia fell on very bad times. Pregnant and emaciated one of our members saw her at an auction and bought her. Mia's registered name is TJ Gold's Color of Fame. Her excellent breeding shows in her proud carriage, sweet temperament and lovely, fluid movement. Unfortunately, Mia has never been started under saddle although she is a 2003 mare. (Mia currently has one sponsor and is looking for a few more to help. When she is ready she will be started under saddle here at the farm.) Cara Mia means "My Beloved" or "My Darling", and she is!
Against all the odds, Mia delivered a beautiful, healthy filly on June 11, 2011 (See pics below). Mia's filly is called Allegra (Barn name: Ali). Ali is a stunning National Show horse. Her father, a very well bred and beautiful Arabian (see pic below) is registered HJ Gold 'N Fame. Ali is lively as well as beautiful, showing all the sweet temperament of her parents. Allegra means "Bright and Lively", and Ali lives up to her name as well.
