Our Story

HPS of BC is dedicated to establishing higher standards of horse care, and public awareness of horse issues. We recognize the need for an all-breed adoption program; a non-profit, registered charity, promoting and supporting the total well being of horses. Our focus is not just placing horses, but finding appropriate homes and good matches.

Looking to Adopt?

1. Please take a look at our First Steps Information page.

2. Fill out our Adoption Application and email it to adoptionshps@gmail.com

1. To take in viable horses, suitable for riding/driving, in need of rehoming.

2. To find appropriate, conscientious homes for each horse.

3. To follow up after adoption and offer support.

Spring has Sprung 

and LOVE is in the air

 

What a winter we've had; we didn't have to plow snow once! Fingers crossed for another one just like it.

​

We are, however, glad to see the Spring coming in, and look forward to long days of sunshine and warmth. Our horses will be glad to see the end of the rain so they can finally lose their blankets and enjoy dry footing.

​

We hope to see you at our Thrift Barn Loft store; we have a great selection of "everything horsey"

Donate Your Car

Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for Horse Protection Society of BC. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to Horse Protection Society of BC  through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for Horse Protection Society of BC to benefit. After your vehicle donation is complete, you will receive a tax receipt and we will put your gift to good use. Please check out our page under "Support HPS"
