Bella

Bella is a Thoroughbred, born in 2004. She was the favorite pet of an elderly gentleman who was unable to keep her due to health issues. 

​

Bella ran at Hastings Park for a couple of years, until she had an accident and was never fit for racing again. 

​

Her owner kept her on his property for as long as he could and parted with her reluctantly. She will never be placed as it is rare to find a good home for older, off the track thoroughbreds...especially ones who are not 100% sound.

​

Bella also has some issues around food and was prone to biting and occasionally kicking as well. She has come a long way in her behavior and temperament since being here and getting more regular attention. She can be lightly ridden and is enjoying liberty lessons with Tabatha.
