VETERINARY FUND COALITION

Since 2013 HPS has been the driving force behind the Veterinary Fund Coalition. The participating groups are HPS, Circle F Horse Rescue, Greener Pastures Standardbred Rescue and New Stride Thoroughbred rescue. All four groups are registered charities.

The purpose of the coalition is first to raise funds for veterinary care for the horses in our charge. Our second objective is to raise funds for various horse welfare initiatives throughout the province. Future goals could include a gelding program and a euthanasia program, as well as educational initiatives.

In addition, the group is interested in forming horse rescue standards and guidelines that may be adopted in BC and hopefully across the country.
